1. How do you see the integration of technology and human touch reshaping patient experience in today’s healthcare landscape?

Human touch is the core of healthcare services but technology will augment the process in term of effective and efficiency. Challenge is how to balance technology and human touch for the optimal benefit of patient experience.

2. Can you share specific examples or case studies where technology has significantly enhanced patient engagement and experience in your practice or organization?

Our hospital had an initiative project “ Care Connect” just before Covid era. This technology brought medical equipment( BP monitoring, O2 sat., Blood sugar) at patient’s home interoperability with central monitor at hospital. It help monitoring real time parameters so the hospital team could advice our patients if abnormal or in case emergency, the patient can press emergency call the team to get help. This project was very useful during Covid lockdown and created good experience and engagement to our chronic disease patient.

3. What challenges do healthcare providers face when balancing technological advancements with maintaining a personal, human touch in patient care?

The challenges are the right time and the right care process to adapt technology advancements for best value based healthcare. Context of hospital should be considered.

4. In your opinion, what are the key technological trends that will drive the future of patient experience and engagement?

Many key technological trends driving experience and engagement are:
-     Telemedicine , Teleconsultation
-     Patient Portal Application
-     Wearable censors
-     Remote patient monitoring and smart device ( IoMT)
-     Registry Kiosk and payment
-     Healthcare AI
-     Healthcare Robot

5. How do you ensure that technological innovations in healthcare are accessible and user-friendly for both patients and healthcare providers?

We have to do research with that kind of technology and the outcome other providers adopted before.
Additionally, we may adopt the technology for experiment , if work, we can extend wildly.

6. What insights or key takeaways do you hope to share with the attendees at the 4th Annual Patient Experience & Engagement Summit in Bangkok?

Human touch- Technology- Value based Care- partnership are among the ecosystem providing worthy patient experience and engagement.
